Well it’s Tuesday now which means it’s back to work time for the two of us. Yvonne and I had an awesome Memorial Day weekend loaded with activities. The weekend started off with dinner at Sang and Bernards place over on the west side. Dinner followed by a little bit of Xbox 360 gaming followed by poker.. always a good thing.
On Saturday, Yvonne worked out with the rest of the DSTS squad over at the Sand Dunes, while I cleaned up the apartment in preparation for the Block Party 2006. The block party started at our place and spanned four different destinations. Appetizers were at our place, dinner was at Betty’s, desert at Raymonds, and the slumber party at Ruby’s. Fun times folks. Lots of eating, drinking, jenga, and poker that night.
After a late Saturday night, we headed off to Catalyst church where they were having their latest preview service that morning. After service, we promptly headed back out to the beach (Hermosa Beach that is) and played ball nearly the entire afternoon. The night was capped off with even more poker at our place (and a few flicks for some of ya’ll).
Finally, we ended the weekend with a BBQ and grass volleyball over in Arcadia. Yvonne’s parents came out to the park too and yes.. we got even more sun. Yvonne’s definitely getting darker while I’m getting redder. Darn it.
I’ll be posting pics of the weekend shortly so stay tuned!
Yvonne and I played in a reverse coed four man ivball tournament this past Saturday down by Oceanside with Bich and Trung. We were 3-0 during pool play but was unfortunately eliminated during the first round of playoffs. Here’s a picture of the team.
Here’s a video clip of Pastor Doug Lee’s opening remarks to our wedding as captured by Eric’s digital camera. Yes, I’ve been playing around with YouTube.com a bit recently. Gotta love video blogging sometimes! Enjoy!
I’ve posted a video clip taken from the Calypso Cabaret show in Bangkok, Thailand. I’ll post more videos over time but enjoy this one! Note that this video is actually stored on YouTube.com.
It’s travel day one last time as we head out of Bangkok and back to the US. But before we headed out of this city, we managed to squeeze in one last two hour massage and boy.. it was well worth it. This was the best massage yet although I have one phrase to say – MAN HANDS!
Thanks for checking in with us. The honeymoon was a blast and we will treasure this trip with all of our hearts. Thanks again for sharing the last few weeks with us.
Our final full day in Bangkok was spent shopping. Yes.. shopping. We also took the time out to check out some more local restaurants in the area (no we did not have mcdonalds again)
The final tour on our trip – this time we headed out to a national park where we got a chance to feed MORE elephants! Before dropping by the park, our tour guide (named Pong) showed us a small local market.. here are some pics.
We saw a waterfall, rode even more elephants, went ox cart riding, and of course, ate food. Here are pics…
yes.. that’s Yvonne at the helm of the elephant. Pretty much autopilot though.
We capped off the night with one more Thai massage.
Relaxation day for us. We checked out the Jim Thompson museum and started shopping at the MBK center. If you’re visiting Bangkok and want a nice AC’d shopping center full of small shops – you should definitely check out the MBK center.
